Challenges and Solutions
The project was initiated to automate palletizing in a basement with extremely low ceilings. The main requirement was to develop a gripper with a height of no more than 350 mm while retaining the collision protection system.
The task was successfully accomplished. However, to achieve the required dimensions, the design was simplified by removing compensation units from the pneumatic drives. This increased the precision requirements for manufacturing and assembly but allowed for the creation of a reliable solution that fully met the project’s specifications.
