Overview
The rotary table with a diameter of 1200 mm was developed for precise positioning and reliable holding of workpieces during machining.
The key feature of the design is the use of a direct drive, which simplified the structure, increased reliability, and reduced maintenance requirements.
An additional functionality of the table is an integrated retractable slip ring with a pneumatic actuator, ensuring power supply to the workpieces without limiting the rotation of the table.

Challenges and Solutions
The design of the direct drive unit and the calculation of the required servo drive parameters required close collaboration with the equipment supplier.
To ensure safe and accurate assembly of the drive, a special assembly tool was developed. This solution simplified the assembly process and accelerated the table's commissioning.
