Challenges and Solutions
The main task in developing the gripper was to ensure reliable box clamping without deformation of the structure. A distinctive feature of the project was the use of a clamping plate without reinforcement ribs to meet the palletizing requirements.
To verify the plate’s stability under load, several calculations were performed:
The minimum required clamping force was determined,
A finite element method (FEM) simulation of the plate’s stress-strain state was conducted.
Based on the simulation results, the optimal design solution was selected, ensuring a balance between rigidity and weight.
