Overview
The fixture for welding and post-welding inspection of the dashboard reinforcement panel for Hyundai vehicles.
The welding process is performed on a robotic system in two operations, each requiring dedicated tooling. Parts are manually loaded and secured using pneumatic clamps.
Additionally, a control stand was developed for checking the geometric accuracy of the welded components.
My Role
Mechanical Design Engineer.
Challenges and Solutions
The tooling was designed to meet all automotive industry standards.
